Seasonal water restrictions go into effect May 1 through October 1 for Prior Lake residents. The city has implemented an odd/even watering schedule along with a daily time ban to help conserve the municipal water supply.
Under the rules:
- Outdoor water is limited to an odd/even schedule based on your address (odd addresses water on the odd dates of the month and even addresses water on the even dates).
- No watering is allowed between 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. each day.
- These restrictions apply to all non-essential outdoor water use, including sprinklers and irrigation systems.
Exceptions:
New landscaping may be watered outside these limits for up to 30 days, such as freshly seeded or sodded lawns, but only with an approved permit.
Residents are encouraged to review full details and conservation tips at priorlakemn.gov/utility.
