Dunkin' Opens with Fundraiser for Special Olympics
A new Dunkin' Donuts location opened this week in Prior Lake (5020 160th St. SE)and quickly became the site of a community fundraiser supporting Special Olympics.
Local police officers partnered with the coffee and donut chain for a “Cop on a Rooftop” style fundraiser on Friday, May 15, collecting donations to benefit Special Olympics athletes. The event brought together residents, law enforcement, and customers shortly after the store’s opening.
The fundraiser follows a long-running 23-year partnership between Dunkin’ locations and law enforcement agencies across the Midwest to support Special Olympics programs. To date, Dunkin's "Cop on a Rooftop" has raised more than $200,000 for Special Olympics Minnesota.
