Dan Stanley was honored with the Cora McQuestion Spirit of Prior Lake Award during a special ceremony at Prior Lake Night at the St. Paul Saints game Thursday evening.

Prior Lake Mayor Kirt Briggs and City Manager Jason Wedel presented Stanley with the award on the field, recognizing his exceptional leadership, volunteerism, and lasting contributions to the Prior Lake community.

The Cora McQuestion Spirit of Prior Lake Award recognizes individuals whose dedication and service have made a significant impact on the community. Stanley was selected for his unwavering commitment to strengthening Prior Lake through civic leadership, business investment, and volunteer service.

A longtime member of the Prior Lake Rotary Club, Stanley has played a key leadership role in the annual Lakefront Music Fest concert series. The event has grown into one of the region's premier summer festivals, drawing thousands of visitors to raise funds that are then reinvested into community projects and local charities.

Stanley also serves as president of the Prior Lake Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, where he works to strengthen partnerships between businesses, civic organizations, and community leaders. His leadership has helped the Chamber continue its mission of supporting local businesses and fostering collaboration throughout the city.

Professionally, Stanley is co-owner of Stanley & Wencl Construction & Facility Services, LLC. His vision for Prior Lake extends beyond his business, with investments in redevelopment projects that are helping shape the future of the city's downtown. Among those efforts are the Railhead Building, home to Chula's, and the transformation of the Prior Lake VFW, projects that reflect his commitment to preserving the community's character while creating vibrant spaces for future generations.

Those who nominated Stanley noted that he leads with humility, generosity, integrity, and a genuine desire to serve others. Thursday night's recognition at CHS Field provided a fitting backdrop to celebrate Stanley's years of service and his enduring commitment to the Prior Lake community.
