The Prior Lake Police Department is dedicated to the service to those who live, work, and play in our communities. We accomplish this sincerely aware that the authority we are granted to perform our jobs is derived from those we serve.
The Prior Lake Police Department is comprised of dedicated professionals that care about the community they serve and protect.
We currently have 33 sworn peace officers in the following positions:
- Chief of Police
- 2 Commanders
- 6 Sergeants
- 18 Patrol Officers
- 3 Investigators
- 1 School Resource Officer
- 1 Tribal liaison
- 1 Drug Task Force Agent
Civilian Staff Consists of:
- Records Supervisor
- 4 Records Specialists
- 1 Community Service Officer
- 1 Property and Evidence Technician
