To obtain a permit, the following is required:

  • Copy of the applicant's driver's license or identification card
  • Make, model, and serial number of the off-road vehicle
  • Proof of current insurance

Completed applications can be emailed to the Prior Lake Police Department at Police@PriorLakeMN.gov along with a copy of your driver's license or ID, and insurance.

Apply Online

Once we have received your application and all of the required information, please allow up to 5 business days to complete. If approved, a permit decal along with a copy of the application will be mailed to you. Permitted vehicles must display the permit decal on the driver's side and carry a copy of the application. Applications can also be completed in person.

Any questions regarding the process, contact the Prior Lake Police Department at 952-440-3555 or Police@PriorLakeMN.gov.
